Rooms, ceilings & trim
List the surfaces individually. A room refresh may include walls alone or extend to ceilings, doors, baseboards and other woodwork; your written scope should say which.

From a single room to an entire suite, a fresh interior starts with careful preparation and a plan for how you use your home.

PLAN THE WORK AROUND YOUR SPACE
A Vancouver condo can need a different plan from a detached house, even when the floor areas are similar. Elevators, loading space, furniture and rooms that must stay usable all affect the brief. Our Coquitlam-based team serves Vancouver homes and discusses those details alongside walls, ceilings, doors and trim.
THE DETAILS TO AGREE
List the surfaces individually. A room refresh may include walls alone or extend to ceilings, doors, baseboards and other woodwork; your written scope should say which.
Check lift booking, loading, parking and working-hour requirements with the building. Share these before scheduling, along with any protection required in common areas.
Point out cracks, patches and existing wall coverings before the estimate. Test colours against flooring and cabinetry, and review them in natural and artificial light.
THE SCOPE BEHIND THE ESTIMATE
A condo refresh, a repaint before moving in and an occupied house need different plans. For a Vancouver interior, room dimensions are a starting point; the condition of the surfaces and how the building is accessed determine much of the work behind the finish.
Meet our Coquitlam-based painting company ↗Identify the rooms, ceiling heights and any stairwells or hard-to-reach areas. Note old repairs, nail holes, wallpaper or changes in texture. Specify whether ceilings and closets are included; they should not be assumed to be part of a walls-only estimate.
List doors, frames, baseboards and other woodwork individually. Their existing coating and condition affect preparation. If you want a different sheen or a change from a dark colour to a light one, discuss the finish and coverage approach before comparing prices.
An empty suite and a furnished home need different protection and working space. Say what can be moved and which rooms must remain usable. In a condo, confirm elevator bookings, permitted hours and protection of shared routes with building management.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Tell the team which rooms you need daily, where furniture can be moved and whether pets or home working affect access. Discuss room order and the product requirements before deciding. Drying and return-to-use arrangements depend on the coating and conditions; do not assume every room can remain available throughout the work.
You can start the enquiry before making a final colour choice. Explain the change you have in mind, especially strong colour changes or different sheens. Test samples beside flooring, cabinetry and furnishings, in daylight and evening light, then confirm the selections and included surfaces before painting begins.
Floor area does not describe ceiling height, wall area, the amount of trim or the condition of the surfaces. Repairs, doors, stairwells, furniture and building access can change the work significantly. Ask for a scope that separates the surfaces and preparation, then compare estimates against that same list.
