PLAN THE WORK AROUND YOUR SPACE

A finish that works
with your day.

A Vancouver commercial repaint needs more than a colour choice. Identify entrances, stock, workstations and customer areas, then agree which spaces can be released for painting and when. Our team is based in Coquitlam and serves Vancouver businesses. We discuss surface preparation, agreed repairs and the sequence of work before a start date is settled.

THE DETAILS TO AGREE

A useful brief, from the start.

01

Retail & customer areas

Separate display walls, counters and entrances in the scope. Identify products or fixtures that must be protected and talk through how customers will move around the premises.

02

Offices & occupied workplaces

Plan around desks, meeting rooms, equipment and shared circulation routes. Discuss the hours available for work; any out-of-hours arrangements need to be agreed for the project.

03

Property managers & multi-tenant space

Bring the landlord or tenant responsibilities, approval process and access rules to the estimate. A clearly divided scope helps coordinate the people involved.

THE SCOPE BEHIND THE ESTIMATE

A commercial repaint has an operational brief, too.

A Vancouver storefront, office floor and managed commercial building can have very different access and working requirements. Before comparing estimates, make the occupied areas, approval process and intended finish as clear as the colour.

01

Define the work areas

List customer-facing walls, staff rooms, washrooms, doors, trim and exterior elements separately. Mark areas excluded from the project. Where a tenant and landlord share responsibility, confirm which surfaces each can authorize before work is priced.

02

Identify preparation and exposure

Record damaged drywall, worn coatings and surfaces that receive frequent cleaning or contact. A public corridor may need a different finish from an office wall. Ask the team to assess the existing surface and propose preparation and coating choices for its actual use.

03

Agree on access and handover

Describe deliveries, contractor parking, loading arrangements and any restrictions on work hours. If business continues during the project, agree on work zones and the sequence in which they are released. Confirm how the finished areas will be inspected and handed back.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your commercial painting
questions, answered.

Can painting take place outside business hours?

Discuss the hours you need at the estimate stage. After-hours arrangements are project-specific and need agreement; they are not automatically included. Product requirements, preparation, access and the time needed before an area can return to use all affect the schedule.

Do you handle drywall repairs before repainting an office?

Drywall repair and installation are part of our service range. Point out old fixings, damaged corners, patches and any areas being altered. Repairs should be assessed and listed in the scope so a finish coat is not expected to disguise a surface that still needs preparation.

What determines the cost of commercial painting?

The area and height of surfaces, their condition, the preparation and coating system, and the amount of protection or staging all matter. Restricted access and occupied work zones can also affect the work. We provide a free estimate based on the property and agreed scope; a floor-area figure alone is not a complete quote.
